John Husselbee recommends emerging markets focus as City Financial MultiManager Income Fund demonstrates consistent performance
The current Citywire “Best Fund Managers”(1) league table shows that John Husselbee, manager of the City Financial MultiManager Income Fund, has exhibited exceptional consistency in the IMA Cautious Managed sector being ranked:
2nd over 5 years [out of 32 fund managers]
1st over 4 years [out of 43 fund managers]
3rd over 3 years [out of 54 fund managers] (2)
The Citywire study tracks the individual fund managers’ performance across the funds that they have run (rather than the specific fund’s performance) and rates them by the value they have added over the specified number of years. This way, each fund manager is rated rather than each fund.
Andrew Williams, Chief Executive of City Financial says:
“This study is both important and unusual in that it seeks to identify the specific managers who are responsible for delivering results for investors and their advisers. Naturally we are pleased that John Husselbee has been identified as an exceptional manager, capable of delivering consistent returns across different time periods and, this is especially significant at the moment and in difficult market conditions.”
John Husselbee, manager of the City Financial funds said:
“Naturally I am pleased to be among the leaders in the Citywire rankings and privileged to be named alongside our industry’s most talented managers.
“Equities look the best value to us in the current market conditions. Markets are in range, and a cautious, disciplined approach rather than chasing the markets. We are looking to buy low, sell high. Long term Emerging Markets offer the best opportunities at this time.”
